All applicants for pilot project funds are encouraged to utilize one or more Center facility cores. The Biostatistics Facility Core has assisted 10 investigators with their applications, primarily by discussing study design options and guiding the choice of statistical analysis. Of these 10 investigators that utilized the Biostatistics Facility Core in planning their pilot project, 7 (70%) obtained pilot-project awards and received additional statistical support during the course of their project.
