Goals & Objectives
  • To determine the role of environmental exposures in the etiology of childhood cancer.
  • To understand the cellular and genetic mechanisms of action of environmental agents that may increase risk of childhood cancer.
  • To determine host factors that modify the risk of childhood cancer, particularly through interaction with environmental risk factors.
  • To establish the long-term health consequences of exposure to agents used in the treatment of cancer, including radiation and chemotherapy.
  • To build infrastructure that will support new approaches to the investigation of childhood cancer.
